Pepulux is based in Jaffna, in the north of Sri Lanka. The products we are best known for were built here, for businesses here, before they were sold anywhere else — which is why they handle the things a Colombo-designed system tends to miss.

DiamondOar was built for a jeweller who needed one. OmKaarya was built for temples run on paper registers. Both were tested where we could walk to the counter, which is a short feedback loop and an unforgiving one.
If something did not work, the shopkeeper told us that afternoon.

Our products run in Tamil and in English, for the person billing and the customer receiving. Software should not make anyone work in a second language to do their own job — and in this region that is a practical requirement, not a nicety.
Why a studio here can do serious product work
The northern province has engineering talent and very few places to do product work rather than outsourced tasks. That is the gap we are in: a team that owns products end to end, based here, working with companies abroad.
